‏Amir Husayn Mihrpur

Mihrpur, Amir Husayn 

Composer and instructor teaching at schools in Tehran and at the offices of the Persian Boy Scouts Association (1950-1960). He composed many anthems and songs for children and also for administrative occasions and was active for a long time in various art departments throughout Iran before 1979. Neither biographical account nor even picture of him is available. His compositions were performed on the Golha programmes; it would seem that he was seemingly directly involved, not only in composing the said melodies but in their actual arrangement and performance on the programmes. Musicians such as Firiydun Shahbaziyan and Milad Kiya’i studied music under Mihrpur in their youth.
